टिहरी- टिहरी जिला मुख्यालय में श्रमिकों की मांगों को लेकर अखिल भरतीय ट्रेड यूनियन समन्वय समिति ने एक दिवसीय धरना दिया। इस मौके पर जिलाधिकारी के माध्यम से राष्ट्रपति को ज्ञापन भेजा गया। ज्ञापन में कहा गया है कि केन्द्र सरकार देश के किसानों, मजदूरों और श्रमिकों पर मनमाना कानून लागू कर रही है। सरकार ट्रेड यूनियनों की सलाह को दरकिनार कर बड़े उद्योगपतियों के पक्ष श्रमिक कानूनों में बदलाव कर रही है। यंहा धरना दे रहे समिति के सदस्यों ने कहा कि कोविड-19 के दौर में एक तरफ दिक्कतें बड़ रही हैं, वंही बिना किसी चर्चा के कानूनों को थोपा जा रहा है। ज्ञापन में मांग की गई है कि श्रमिक कानूनों में जो बदलाव किये जा रहे हैं, उन्हे तत्काल वापस लिया जाय, सरकारी कर्मचारियों के मंगहाई भत्ते पर लगी रोक हटाई जाय, श्रमिकों के 8 घंटे से अधिक काम करने के बदलाव को हटाया जाय। कोरोना काल के दौरान 12 करोड़ लोग बेरोजगार हुये हैं, उन सभी को फिर से नौकरी पर बहाल किया जाय। इन मांगों के अतिरिक्त ज्ञापन में 6 अन्य मांगे भी शामिल हैं। इस मौके पर जय प्रकाष पांडे, नित्यानंद बहुगुणा, चिन्तामणी थपलियाल, गीता नेगी और ओंकार सिंह नेगी आदि उपस्थित थे।
