केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने शुक्रवार को दिल्ली में ‘महाराणा: सहस्र वर्षों काधर्मयुद्ध’ पुस्तक का विमोचन करने के बाद अपने संबोधन मेंकहा कि भारत ने 1,000 साल तक अपनी संस्कृति, भाषा और धर्म के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी, जो व्यर्थ नहीं गई। उन्होंने कहा कि इस लड़ाई के दौरान कुर्बानियां देने वालों की आत्मा को आज भारत का पुनरुत्थान देखकर शांति मिलती होगी।उन्होंने कहा, ‘जब हमारा प्रयास किसी से बड़ा होता है तो अपने आप झूठ का प्रयास छोटा हो जाता है। हमें प्रयास बड़ा करने पर ध्यान देना चाहिए। झूठ पर टीका-टिप्पणी करने से भी झूठ प्रचारित होता है। हमें कोई नहीं रोकता है, हमारा इतिहास लिखने से। अब हम स्वाधीन हैं। किसी के मोहताज नहीं हैं। हम हमारा इतिहास खुद लिख सकते हैं।’शाह ने कहा कि किसी भी समाज को अपना उज्ज्वल भविष्य बनाना हो तो उसे अपने इतिहास से प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए, उससे सीख लेनी चाहिए और अपने इतिहास से सीखकर अपना आगे का रास्ता प्रशस्त करना चाहिए।अमित शाह ने कहा कि इतिहास में अनेक साम्राज्य हुए मगर इतिहास लिखने वालों ने साम्राज्यों का जब भी जिक्र किया तो मुगल साम्राज्य की ही चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि पांड्य साम्राज्य 800 साल तक चला, जबकि अहोम साम्राज्य असम में 650 साल तक चला। इस साम्राज्य ने बख्तियार खिलजी से लेकर औरंगजेब तक को परास्त किया और असम को स्वतंत्र रखा। शाह ने कहा कि इसी प्रकार पल्लव साम्राज्य 600 साल तक, चालुक्य साम्राज्य 600 साल तक, मौर्य साम्राज्य 500 साल तक तथा गुप्त साम्राज्य 400 साल तक चला। उन्होंने कहा कि समुद्रगुप्त ने तो पहली बार भारत की कल्पना को चरितार्थ करने का साहस दिखाया। मगर इन सब पर कोई संदर्भ ग्रंथ नहीं लिखा गया।उन्होंने कहा, ‘हार और जीत के कारण इतिहास नहीं लिखा जाता बल्कि वह घटना देश व समाज पर क्या परिणाम छोड़ती है, उससे इतिहास बनता है।’ उन्होंने कहा कि आज भारत का पुनरुत्थान देखकर देश के लिए लड़ाई लड़ने वाले और कुर्बानी देने वालों की आत्मा को शांति मिलती होगी। शाह ने कहा, ‘फिर से गौरव के साथ दुनिया के सामने खड़े होने का अवसर आ गया है… देश खड़ा हो रहा है। यह सरकारों से नहीं होता है। समाज जीवन में जब जागृति की चिंगारी फैलती है, वह आग में बदलती है तभी जाकर परिवर्तन आता है। तभी समाज का गौरव जागरूक होता है।’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘सालों बाद हमारी संस्कृति को दुनिया भर में स्वीकृति मिली है। इस प्रकार की स्थिति हम देख रहे हैं।’
