टिहरी झील का जलस्तर बढ़ने से झील के पास के गांव सरोट को खतरा बन गया है। प्रशासन ने कई मकानों को खाली करा ग्रामीणों को सुरक्षित स्थान पर शिफ्ट करना पड़ा है। झील का स्तर आरएल 830 मीटर तक भरने से यह खतरा उत्पन्न हुआ है।
